Simon Plyte is the Chief Scientific Officer of BIOMUNEX and has over 20 years of experience at the Director/VP level in the Pharmaceutical industry. He has a proven track record of successful drug discovery and development of both NCEs and biologics in oncology and other therapeutic areas. Simon has worked in both big Pharma (Pharmacia, Boehringer-Ingelheim) and small biotech (e.g. Nerviano Medical Sciences and Congenia) in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Further Simon worked as Senior Director and Vice President Immuno-Oncology at publicly traded biotechnology companies developing bi-/multi-specific biotherapeutics: Molecular Partners AG (Zürich Area, Switzerland) and Merus (Utrecht Area, Netherlands). Prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry Simon was a Post-doctoral fellow at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (London, UK) and the Ontario Cancer Institute (Toronto Canada) and is the co-author of several publications and patents. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from University of Portsmouth (UK).
